How it works
PNG is embedded, not converted
A PDF can carry PNG image data directly, so the pixels are placed into the document unchanged. Screenshots of text stay legible instead of picking up the fuzz a JPEG round-trip would add.
Transparency is flattened onto white
PDF pages have no alpha channel in the way a PNG does, so anything transparent lands on white. Worth knowing if your graphic was designed for a dark background.

In the order shown, with a page size you pick — the image’s own dimensions, or A4 and Letter for printing.

Practical advice
Getting a better result
- PNG screenshots are large because they are lossless. A twenty-page PDF of them can easily pass 30 MB — expected, not a fault.
- If the images are photographs rather than screenshots, JPG to PDF will produce a far smaller file at the same visible quality.
- A transparent logo will come out on a white page. Export it with the background you actually want first.
- For a mix of screenshots and photos, use the general Images to PDF tool — it takes both.

Things people ask
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser, with no upload endpoint and nothing on the page that can read your file.
What happens to transparent areas?
They become white. A PDF page is opaque, so transparency has to resolve to something, and white is what a printed page would be.
Does the PNG get converted to JPEG?
No. That would be the wrong trade for screenshots and diagrams — JPEG artefacts cluster exactly around the sharp edges those images are made of. The PNG data is embedded as it is.
