How it works
It keeps, rather than erases
A new document is built from the pages you did not remove. Nothing is edited in place, so a mistake costs you a download rather than your original.
The count is shown before you commit
The button says how many of how many pages will go, so "2-5" removing four pages instead of two is visible before anything happens.
It refuses to empty the document
Removing every page would produce a file with nothing in it. That is blocked rather than delivered.

Practical advice
Getting a better result
- Check the page count shown against the document before you commit — page one of a PDF is not always page one of the printed piece.
- Deleting is not redaction. The pages are gone, but if you need to remove information from a page that stays, this is the wrong tool.
- To keep only a few pages out of many, use Split and extract them instead — it is less to type.

Things people ask
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read into memory in your browser and everything happens there. There is no upload endpoint, and nothing on the page that can read your content, and a Content Security Policy allows no upload destination at all.
That also means the file never sits on someone else’s server waiting to be deleted, which is the part most people are actually worried about with a contract or an invoice.
Can I get the deleted pages back?
Not from the new file — they are not in it. Your original is untouched on your device, so keep it until you are happy with the result.
Is this the same as redacting?
No, and the difference matters. Deleting removes whole pages. Redaction removes information from a page that remains, and doing it properly means deleting the underlying content rather than drawing a black box over it.
