How it works
You see the page you are signing
The page is rendered and shown at a usable size, and clicking it is how the signature is placed. Nobody thinks in "page 3, 40% across", which is what most tools ask for.
The signature is transparent
It is saved as a PNG with a transparent background and trimmed to the ink, so it sits on the page rather than in a white box that covers the line beneath it.
Drawn at three times the size
What you draw is captured at higher resolution than it appears, so it still looks like ink when the page is printed.

Practical advice
Getting a better result
- A touchscreen gives a far better signature than a mouse. If the document matters, sign it on a phone.
- Signatures usually sit between 20% and 30% of the page width. Larger tends to look wrong on a printed page.
- The signature is placed with its top-left corner where you click, so aim slightly above and left of where you want it centred.
- Check the result before sending. The preview is accurate, but it is worth opening the finished file once.

Things people ask
Is my signature uploaded anywhere?
No — and this is the tool where that matters most. Your signature is drawn in your browser, saved into the document in your browser, and never transmitted. There is no upload endpoint, and nothing on the page that can read it.
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
It produces a signed document, which in many jurisdictions is what an electronic signature means in practice. It does not produce a cryptographically certified signature, and it does not create an audit trail of who signed and when.
For a contract that requires certification or an audit trail, use a service built for that. For the everyday case — a form, a letter, an internal approval — a drawn signature on the page is what is being asked for.
Can I sign more than one page?
One placement per pass. Sign the first page, download the result, and feed it back in to sign the next.
