How it works
The JPEG data goes in untouched
PDF supports JPEG directly, so the file is embedded rather than decoded and re-encoded. That matters because JPEG is lossy: every re-save costs quality, and this avoids one entirely.
One image, one page
Each photo becomes its own page in the order shown, which is what people want from a stack of receipts or a multi-page scan.
Scaled to fit, never cropped
On A4 or Letter an oversized image is scaled down to fit the page. Nothing is cut off to make it work.
What it does
No second compression
The JPEG bytes are copied into the document. What you put in is what comes out.
Real page sizes
A4 or US Letter, portrait or landscape, for anything that will be printed or emailed on.
Order you control
Reorder before building, so page three really is page three.

Practical advice
Getting a better result
- Phone photos are often 4000px wide and several megabytes each. Fifty of them make a PDF nobody can email — compress or resize first if the file has to travel.
- For scanned paperwork, A4 or Letter with a small margin looks like a document. "Fit each image" produces pages the shape of your camera sensor, which looks like a photo album.
- A photo of a document taken at an angle stays at an angle. Crop and straighten before building the PDF; a PDF will not fix framing.
- Rotating the photos first is easier than rotating the PDF afterwards.

Things people ask
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is built in your browser. There is no upload endpoint, and a Content Security Policy allows no upload destination at all — which matters more than usual when the photos are of documents.
Will the photos lose quality?
No. JPEG is embedded into the PDF as-is, with no decode and re-encode step, so there is no second round of lossy compression.
Why is the PDF as big as all my photos together?
Because it contains all of them at full resolution. That is the trade for not re-compressing anything. If size matters more than fidelity, shrink the images first.
