122 tools that run on your own machine

What it is

KuConvert is a collection of 122 free tools, grouped into the 9 categories above. Convert and compress images, merge and split PDFs, count and clean up text, format and validate JSON, pick colours, generate QR codes and meta tags, run the calculators — whichever one you open, it works the same way: no account, no watermark, no file-count paywall, and no email step before the download.

The image tools take up to 50 files at once, at up to 25 MB each, and hand the results back individually or as one ZIP archive.

Why it works this way

Browsers have shipped competent codecs, canvas, workers and cryptography for years. A tool that uploads your files to a server, does the work there and sends them back is doing something your own device can do faster — without the round trip, and without a copy of your files sitting on somebody else’s machine.

Building it browser-first also removes the usual reason free tools turn unpleasant. There is no per-file server cost to recover, so there is nothing to recover it with: no advertising, no queue you can pay to skip, no five-files-a-day limit.

One honest exception. Website SEO Analyzer works on a URL you type rather than on a file, so that URL is fetched by our server. It is the only tool on the site that sends anything anywhere, it never receives a file, and the privacy page says so in the same words.

Where it is going

The engines are deliberately separate from the interfaces, which is why the suite grew from one converter to 122 tools without a rewrite. More are being added in the same shape: a tool that does one job, explains what it did, and asks nothing of you first. Anything listed as Soon on the tools page is in that queue.

Who builds it

KuConvert is built by KUDUY, a web design and development agency. These tools are the small version of what the studio does for clients; the section below sets out the bigger version.
